What is Retinopathy of Prematurity?
It is a disorder of premature LBW (Low Birth Weight) infants featuring an unexpected proliferation of developing retinal blood vessels.
These blood vessels that form in the eye can result in vision loss in infants. Almost 57% of the premature babies are likely to be diagnosed with ROP, out of which nearly 90% do not require any treatment
the remaining 10% who are likely to lose their vision are treated completely with the best treatment practices.
